CMTPLI complaints in 2025: insurer ranking updated

Now, the ranking includes not only substantiated complaints lodged with the regulator but also individuals’ complaints that have been fully or partially satisfied by the financial ombudsman. This approach will enable car owners to comprehensively assess the quality of insurers’ services in the market of compulsory motor third-party liability insurance (CMTPLI).

An insurer’s ranking depends on the number of complaints per 10,000 CMTPLI policies. The results are presented in two tables, with the first one comprising insurers with over three million policies and the second one covering those below this threshold. This makes it possible to compare companies that are similar in customer base size.

The ranking does not include market participants with only one substantiated complaint or a much smaller customer base compared to the insurers from the second table. The financial ombudsman’s decisions that are being challenged in court are also outside the scope of the ranking.
