Participants engaged in unfair practices removed from CCC market

Microloans issued by consumer credit cooperatives (CCCs) in January–March 2026 totalled ₽12.3 billion, which is 5% less year on year.

The decrease is largely because the Bank of Russia excluded CCCs affiliated with a number of big microfinance organisations (MFOs) from the state register. In an attempt to circumvent measures aimed at limiting households’ debt burden, some MFOs started to transfer part of their disbursements to affiliated CCCs, thus seeking to reduce the regulatory burden. Such CCCs’ operations violated the requirements of Russian law.
