Bank of Russia starts disclosing details of key rate deliberations
The Bank of Russia has released the Summary of the Key Rate Discussion related to the Board of Directors’ decision made in February. The publication covers the main aspects of the discussion about the economic situation and inflation, monetary and external conditions, and alternatives to the key rate decision. Among the participants in the discussion during the quiet week were the members of the Board of Directors, representatives of the Bank of Russia Main Branches, and experts of the Bank of Russia’s dedicated departments. The Summary presents the policy choices discussed without attributing the views.
Simultaneously, the Bank of Russia has released the Commentary on the Medium-term Forecast describing the parameters of the Bank of Russia’s macroeconomic forecast published following the Board of Directors’ key rate meeting on 16 February 2024.
The Bank of Russia will release the Summary after every key rate decision and the Commentary — within the core rounds according to the Calendar of key rate decisions.
