Evaluation of consumer demand regional differentiation factors in the Russian Federation
Zakirzyanov R.
The study presents an investigation of consumer demand regional differentiation factors in the Russian Federation. We used structural vector autoregression models to obtain the impulse response functions of food and non-food retail turnover to wage and consumer credit shocks in the short-run for each region of Russia. We have identified factors that determine the sensitivity of retail turnover to wage and consumer credit shocks. The results of the study are suggested for evaluation of monetary policy impact on retail trade turnover in regional context.
