Market Services Department

The Market Services Department supports Bank of Russia operations in the domestic and external financial markets: provides infrastructure for operations, establishes correspondent relations, and fulfils the Bank of Russia’s obligations under transactions with counterparties and controls the timely discharge of counterparties’ obligations to the Bank of Russia. The Department also prepares documents for recognising operations in accounting records.

Supporting operations in the domestic financial market, the Market Services Department interacts with exchanges, clearing houses, depositories, and the settlement centres of payment systems.

The Market Services Department is also engaged in the functional management of the units of the Bank of Russia’s regional branches delivering market services. The Department provides them methodological support in the organisation of business processes and in the preparation of documents regulating the operation of these units.
