On 5 December 2025, the Bank of Russia issues commemorative coins ‘The Fixies’ of the Russian (Soviet) Animation series:
– a 3-ruble silver coin,
– a 25-ruble nickel-plated steel coin, and
– a 25-ruble cupronickel coin with a coloured coating.
The animated series ‘The Fixies’ came out in Russia in 2010. It centres around adventures of small people who live in various gadgets and mechanisms. With their deep knowledge of technology, the Fixies make the modern world easy for children to understand.
Description of the precious metal coin:
The 3-ruble silver coin (fine metal content 31.1 g, fineness 925/1,000) has a round shape and is 39.0 mm in diameter.
The obverse and the reverse of the coin have a relief rim around the circumference.
The obverse of the coin features a relief image of the National Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation and the inscriptions ‘РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ’ (RUSSIAN FEDERATION) and ‘БАНК РОССИИ’ (BANK OF RUSSIA), the denomination of the coin ‘3 РУБЛЯ’ (3 RUBLES), the year of issue ‘2025 г.’ (2025), the chemical symbol of the metal according to Mendeleev’s Periodic Table of Elements, fineness, the Saint Petersburg Mint trademark, and fine metal content.
The reverse of the coin (Catalogue No. 5111-0532) features a coloured image of the characters of the animated series ‘The Fixies’ and the inscription ‘ФИКСИКИ’ (THE FIXIES) at the top.
The edge of the coin is corrugated.
The coin is minted in proof quality.
The mintage of the coin is 7.0 thousand pcs.
Description of the base metal coins:
The 25-ruble base metal coins have a round shape and are 27.0 mm in diameter.
The obverse and the reverse of the coins have a relief rim around the circumference.
The edge of the coins is corrugated.
The obverse of the coins features a relief image of the National Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation, the semicircular inscription above it along the rim ‘РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ’ (RUSSIAN FEDERATION) framed with paired diamonds on both sides, the Moscow Mint trademark on the right, and the three-line inscription in the centre of the coins under the coat of arms ‘БАНК РОССИИ’ (BANK OF RUSSIA), the coin denomination ‘25 РУБЛЕЙ’ (25 RUBLES), and the year of issue ‘2025 г.’ (2025).
The reverse of:
– the nickel-plated steel coin (Catalogue No. 5715-0004) features a relief image of the characters of the animated series ‘The Fixies’ and the inscription ‘ФИКСИКИ’ (THE FIXIES) at the top; and
– the cupronickel coin (Catalogue No. 5015-0078) features a coloured image of the characters of the animated series ‘The Fixies’ and the inscription ‘ФИКСИКИ’ (THE FIXIES) at the top.
The mintage of:
– the nickel-plated steel coin is 850.0 thousand pcs; and
– the cupronickel coin with a coloured coating is 150.0 thousand pcs.
