Ksenia Yudaeva leaves Bank of Russia on 31 October to pursue other career opportunities

Ksenia Yudaeva, Adviser to the Governor of the Bank of Russia and, previously, First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Russia and a member of the Bank of Russia Board of Directors, has decided to leave the Bank of Russia to pursue other career opportunities.

Bank of Russia Governor Elvira Nabiullina said:

‘Ksenia Yudaeva has made an invaluable contribution to the Bank of Russia becoming a modern institution. She is the one who helped implement the inflation targeting mechanism and overcome a succession of crises. Her knowledge and ability to see the whole picture and respond promptly always helped find valid answers to the questions posed by these challenges. We managed to maintain financial stability amid crises largely through her efforts.

She has formed a professional team of researchers in macroeconomics, finance, banking, and the climate agenda which any central bank could be proud of. All of the above will be the driver of our progress further on.

We wish Ms Yudaeva success in all her future projects and initiatives."
