On introducing Bank of Russia recommendations on standardisation

The Bank of Russia introduces Bank of Russia recommendations on standardisation ‘Ensuring Information Security of Organisations of the Banking System of the Russian Federation. Ensuring Information Security on the Stages of Life Circle of Automated Banking Systems’ (RS BR IBBS-2.6-2014) (hereinafter, the Recommendations) from 1 September 2014.

The Recommendations are worked out and introduced with the view of increasing information security of organisations of the banking system of the Russian Federation in compliance with Federal Law No. 184-FZ, dated 27 December 2002, ‘On Technical Regulation’ by the decision of the Standardisation Subcommittee ‘Financial (Banking) Operation Security’ (SC1) of the Technical Standardisation Committee ‘Financial Operation Standards’ (TC122) of the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology.

The Recommendations are published on the Bank of Russia official website in subsection ‘Information Security of Organisations of the Banking System of the Russian Federation’ of section ‘Information on Credit Institutions’.
