On third meeting of Working Group for Partnership Banking

Kazan hosted the third meeting of Working Group for Partnership Banking on 24 March 2016.

The participants of the meeting approved the Road Map on Development of Partnership Banking and Related Financial Services in the Russian Federation for the Period of 2016 to 2017.

The document deals with promotion of the relationships with foreign countries and institutes, implementation of pilot projects and programmes in this field. An important element of the road map is an enlargement of competencies in the partnership banking, also with regard to improving financial literacy and financial inclusion. Actions within the road map are also planned to study expediency and necessity of updating certain aspects of legislation to promote the partnership banking in the Russian Federation.

Kazan has been selected for a field meeting, because they are implementing a pilot project in Tatarstan to promote the partnership banking. Members of the working group have been informed of operating experiences of entities, which provide services and raise funds under partnership banking. The Kazan Federal University presented a report on scientific and educational components of promoting this activity.

The working group on the partnership banking under the auspices of the Bank of Russia was established in September 2015.

It includes representatives from the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the ministries and agencies of the Russian Federation, financial and business community.
