On establishing Expert Board on Rating Agencies

To work out recommendations to determine the Bank of Russia strategy and policy for developing, regulating and monitoring the activity of rating agencies, the Bank of Russia established the Expert Board on Rating Agencies.

The main objectives of the Expert Board are collecting, analysing and summarising the assessments of rating industry representatives on the topical issues of the rating agencies’ activity, and working out recommendations for regulating this market segment with due account for international practices.

The Expert Board includes representatives of rating agencies, the Bank of Russia, the Russian Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economic Development, and scientific and educational community.
