On publication of statistical data on portfolio investment abroad

In an effort to improve information support of users the Bank of Russia initiates the dissemination of data on accumulated stocks of portfolio investment abroad broken down by instrument and country on a quarterly basis (previously published with a semi-annual frequency). The new release schedule of portfolio investment data will provide an opportunity for more thorough analysis of data presented in the international investment position of the Russian Federation.

The publication has been released ahead of the requirements of the advanced targets recommended by the G-20 Data Gaps Initiative for the G-20 economies.

Data on accumulated stocks of portfolio investment abroad broken down by instrument and country can be found on the Bank of Russia official website in the section Statistics / Macroeconomic Financial statistics / External Sector Statistics / International investment Position / Portfolio Investment Assets of the Russian Federation. The data will be updated on a quarterly basis within the timeframe set in the Official Statistics Release Calendar.
