Meeting of the Advisory Board on Foreign Exchange Policy of the central (national) banks of EAEU member states
On 24 November 2016, Bishkek (Kyrgyz Republic) hosted the 13th meeting of the Advisory Board on Foreign Exchange Policy of the central (national) banks of Eurasian Economic Union member states.
The meeting was attended by N. Zhenish, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, K. Yudaeva, First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Russia, O. Smolyakov, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, V. Abramyan, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Armenia, S. Kalechits, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, and representatives of the central (national) banks of EAEU member states.
The parties exchanged views on current economic situation and monetary policy implementation, discussed the interaction of the central (national) banks to harmonise financial legislation.
The meeting also studied the progress of joint efforts by central (national) banks to work out an Agreement on the access of brokers (dealers) of one EAEU member state to exchange platforms (trade organisers) in other member states, and discussed the concept of a future common EAEU financial market.
