Bank of Russia standardisation guidelines to become effective: 'Information Security of the Banking System of the Russian Federation. Information Leakage Prevention'

The Bank of Russia brings into force from 1 May 2016 its guidelines for standardisation ’Information Security of the Banking System of the Russian Federation. Information Leakage Prevention’ (RS BR IBBS-2.9-2016, further referred to as ’the Guidelines’).

The Guidelines have been developed and are being put into effect with a view to upgrading information security in the RF banking system in keeping with Federal Law No. 184-FZ, dated 27 December 2002, ’On Technical Regulation’ and in pursuance of the Financial (Banking) Transaction Security Standardisation Subcommittee (SC1) of the ’Financial Transaction Standards’ Technical Standardisation Committee (TC122) of the Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology.

The Guidelines are to be published on the BoR website in the section ’Credit Institutions’, subsection ’Information Security of Banking System Institutions’.
