On introducing short-term liquidity indicator

The Bank of Russia suggests introducing a short-term liquidity coverage ratio (Basel III) as a prudential norm from 1 July 2015.
Adjusted term for the requirement introduction will enable the banking sector to better prepare for ratio compliance. When working out the decision, the Bank of Russia considered Russian banks’ difficulties in access to long-term resources.
Besides, the Bank of Russia is considering a set of banks the regulation will affect. The largest systemically important banks are supposed to meet the requirement on the first stage.
