On meeting of Interbank Currency Council of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus
On 21 May 2015, the 42nd meeting of the Interbank Currency Council of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus discussed the topical issues of bilateral cooperation.
The meeting was attended by Elvira S. Nabiullina, Governor of the Bank of Russia, Pavel V. Kallaur, Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, and representatives of the central banks of both countries.
The parties exchanged information on the current economic situation and the implementation of the monetary policy in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, discussed international reserve dynamics and foreign exchange liquidity in both countries, and also views on mutual trade settlements in national currencies.
The results of the banking systems’ operation in 2014, main parameters of the bilateral balance of payments of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus and the balance of payments of the Union State for 2014 were drawn at the meeting.
