Bank of Russia to expand publications on system of national accounts statistics

The Bank of Russia is starting to issue its annual information and analytical compilation ‘Financial Accounts of the System of National Accounts of the Russian Federation’ in addition to the already published data on the financial accounts and financial assets and liabilities of the system of national accounts of the Russian Federation. The new publication will provide further information support to statistics users.

The first issue presents 2012–2019 annual data on financial assets and liabilities broken down by financial instrument in such institutional sectors as ‘Non-financial corporations’, ‘Central bank and other depository corporations’, ‘Investment funds’, ‘Insurance corporations’, ‘Pension funds’, Other financial intermediaries, ‘General government’, ‘Households and non-profit institutions serving households’, and ‘Rest of the world’. The publication contains a methodological commentary and brief explanatory notes on the data. It is accompanied by time series in Excel format for each indicator in the compilation.

The new publication will increase the potential of the statistics of the system of national accounts of the Russian Federation for analysing the financial situation in various sectors of the economy.
