Update on implementation of complaint-based insurer ranking (pilot project)

The Bank of Russia has made preliminary calculations for its 2020 Q2 insurer ranking based on the number of consumer complaints.

The period of the ranking, a pilot project, coincided with the peak of restrictive measures caused by Covid-19, which led to a significant drop in traffic, the number of accidents and the resulting number of complaints. These factors entailed abnormal values of the ranking components.

In this context, the Bank of Russia has decided to postpone publishing the ranking, with the period of the ranking to be determined in due course.
