Publication of information on factors affecting banking sector liquidity

The External and Public Relations Department of the Bank of Russia informs that the Bank of Russia starts to publish on its official web site information on factors affecting banking sector liquidity in order to promote monetary policy transparency.

The graph presenting this information will be published weekly (on Fridays) for each working day of previous week. This material (for the period from the beginning of 2011) will be placed on the Bank of Russia’s web site under the “Statistics” section, “Banking Sector Liquidity Indicators” subsection (it will also be possible to access this information following a link under Parameters of Bank Liquidity on the home page of the site).

The publication of this information is aimed at improving market participants’ comprehension of the factors affecting banking sector liquidity and at facilitating the development of liquidity forecasting and management. Therefore, it should contribute to greater monetary policy effectiveness.
