Bank of Russia Deputy Governor and Head of the Bank of Russia Chief Inspection Vladimir Safronov retires

Bank of Russia Deputy Governor and Head of the Bank of Russia Chief Inspection Vladimir Safronov is leaving his post due to retirement from 9 September 2021 after his vacation.

Elena Koroleva, First Deputy Head of the Bank of Russia Chief Inspection, was appointed acting Head of the Bank of Russia Chief Inspection from 9 August 2021.

First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Russia Dmitry Tulin noted: ‘Vladimir Safronov is a wonderful manager and an interesting person with a huge experience. He is a real leader and the heart of the team. He has worked at the Bank of Russia for over 25 years and has been the permanent head of the Chief Inspection since 2012. He has not only organised an efficient inspection activity at the Bank of Russia but also taken it to a whole new level in terms of quality’.
