On the Issue of a Base Metal Coin
On 10 December 2018, the Bank of Russia is launching a new commemorative
The coin is circle-shaped, white-coloured and measures 27 mm in diameter. The obverse has a rim raised along the circumference. The edge of the coin is corrugated.
The obverse side of the coin bears a relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation and contains the following elements: an inscription “РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ” (THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION) engraved along the circumference and decorated with double rhombuses on both sides; a trademark of the Mint placed on the right side of the coin and a three-line inscription under the Coat of Arms reading: “БАНК РОССИИ” (THE BANK OF RUSSIA), “25 РУБЛЕЙ” (25 ROUBLES, the coin’s denomination), “2018 г.” (the year of the issue).
The reverse contains a relief image of an open book with the Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation depicted on the left page and a three-line inscription
“КОНСТИТУЦИЯ РОССИЙСКОЙ ФЕДЕРАЦИИ” (THE CONSTITUTION OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION) engraved on the right page; under the book the top of an Ionic column with a capital is depicted. Finally, there is an inscription along the circumference reading

The mintage of the coin is 1m pcs.
The coin is legal tender in the Russian Federation and must be accepted for all kinds of payment at its face value without any restrictions.
