The External and Public Relations Department of the Bank of Russia announces that the monetary base (narrow definition) equalled 3648.4 bn. rubles as of September 10, 2007, against 3624.6 bn. rubles as of September 3, 2007.
The monetary base (narrow definition) consists of the currency issued by the Bank of Russia (including cash in vaults of credit institutions) and required reserves balances on ruble deposits with the Bank of Russia.
