The External and Public Relations Department of the Bank of Russia announces that the monetary base (narrow definition) equalled 3073.7 bn. rubles as of February 26, 2007, against 3051.2 bn. rubles as of February 19, 2007.
The monetary base (narrow definition) consists of the currency issued by the Bank of Russia (including cash in vaults of credit institutions) and required reserves balances on ruble deposits with the Bank of Russia.
