Bank of Russia publishes proposals to calculate short-term RUONIA values

The Bank of Russia begins to develop short-term rates based on the values of the overnight interbank lending rate RUONIA (hereinafter, RUONIA) and publishes proposals on how to calculate short-term RUONIA values for discussion. In 2021, the Bank of Russia will hold public discussions of the methodology of short-term rates with the expert community of the Russian financial market.
Proposed short-term benchmark rates can be used for studying and monitoring the situation in the interbank lending market, in forecasting models, and also by professional financial market participants in commercial products.
