Vasily Pozdyshev steps down from posts at FBSC AMC
The Bank of Russia as the founding shareholder of the Fund of Banking Sector Consolidation Asset Management Company (FBSC AMC) has made the decision to terminate the powers of Vasily Pozdyshev as the Chairperson and member of the Supervisory Board at FBSC AMC in view of his application and appointment to the post of the Senior Adviser at the Bank for International Settlements.
A new chairperson of the Supervisory Board will be assigned after the completion of the procedures required by Federal Law No.
Vasily Pozdyshev will also resign from the Boards of Directors at the Asian-Pacific Bank, the Moscow Industrial Bank, and the Deposit Insurance Agency.
At the Bank for International Settlements, Vasily Pozdyshev will hold the post of the Senior Advisor for Financial Resolution and Anti-Crisis Management.
Giving her comment on Vasily Pozdyshev’s joining the Bank for International Settlements, Bank of Russia Governor Elvira Nabiullina noted: ‘Mr Pozdyshev was involved in the development of the new mechanism for bank resolution, the implementation of major projects aimed at restoring the financial stability of the Otkritie, BIN and Promsvyazbank groups, and later on was engaged in the creation of new financial models for the Asian-Pacific Bank and the Moscow Industrial Bank. This gave him the experience and competences expanding the horizon for analysing potential threats in the global financial system and searching solutions that would prevent them. I hope he will be able to apply these competences in full at the Bank for International Settlements’.
