On qualification examination programme for candidates to join actuary self-regulatory organisations

The Bank of Russia issued Ordinance No. 3332-U, dated 21 July 2014, ‘On Establishing Qualification Examination Programme for Candidates to Join Actuary Self-Regulatory Organisations’ (hereinafter, the Bank of Russia Ordinance).

The Ordinance is based on provisions of Article 17 of Federal Law No. 293-FZ, dated 2 November 2013, ‘On the Actuarial Activities in the Russian Federation’ (hereinafter, the Law). The document establishes the programme under which the qualification examination for candidates to join actuary self-regulatory organisations will be held (hereinafter, the Programme).

The Programme is worked out with the participation of individuals whose data is subject to inclusion in the unified register of responsible actuaries without certification (the list of the said individuals is approved by Bank of Russia Order No. OD-214 dated 28 February 2014).

In order to implement Part 2 of Article 17 of the Law the Bank of Russia publishes a sample examination paper for the qualification examination for candidates to join actuary self-regulatory organisations worked out in compliance with the Programme.
