Meeting between Governor of the Bank of Russia and EU Ambassador to Russia, and Ambassadors of the European Union Member States

At the Bank of Russia on 24 January 2017 Elvira Nabiullina, Governor of the Bank of Russia, met with Vygaudas Ušackas, European Union Ambassador to the Russian Federation, and Ambassadors of the European Union Member States.

Elvira Nabiullina expressed her views on the macroeconomic situation in the country, Bank of Russia’s monetary policy, current trends in the development of the banking sector, financial markets and national payment system. Vygaudas Ušackas and Ambassadors of the European Union Member States raised several issues concerning specific aspects of Bank of Russia's policy, as well as the Bank's assessment of the future economic outlook of Russia.

The Parties expressed their mutual interest in continuing the dialogue and organizing similar meetings in future.
