New commemorative coin to issue

On 16 January 2016, the Bank of Russia issues a commemorative silver proof coin in denomination of 2 rubles devoted to the 190th anniversary of the renowned Russian geographer P.P. Semenov-Tian-Shansky of the series “Outstanding Personalities of Russia”.

 

The reverse side of the coin bears a relief image of P.P. Semenov-Tian-Shansky against the background of mountains and contour images of riders on a horse and a camel.

The mintage of the coin is 3,000 pieces.
