Prices for various goods and services diverge in August

Prices for non-food products accelerated their current growth rates, as did those for domestic travel (seasonally adjusted). Conversely, the monthly price growth of food prices slowed down as a result of high supply and good harvest forecasts.
Annual inflation was up in August. Under a Bank of Russia forecast, demand is set to make a more pronounced disinflationary impact starting from late 2020 and into 2021. Further details are available in the new issue of Consumer Price Dynamics, an information and analytical commentary.
