Bank of Russia suggests customers evaluate information security of bank services
The regulator asks banks’ individual and corporate customers to take part in a poll about the information security of bank services.
The regulator suggests that customers evaluate banks’ procedures for informing them about service security rules, how confident they are that their personal data are appropriately protected and how effective a bank’s response is to an incident, and answer some other questions.
The poll results will provide insights into bank customers’ views of how they think their funds and personal data are protected, assisting in the understanding of how well informed bank customers are about new financial technologies and service security rules (cyber literacy). The regulator will analyse and consider this information in its supervisory activities and in the planning of regulatory measures aimed at preventing information security risks.
