Moscow to host International Conference ‘Modern Auditing: Problems and Prospects’
The conference organised by the Bank of Russia will be attended by heads of public authorities, representatives of major auditing companies and professional associations of financiers.
‘The Bank of Russia sees the aim of the conference as being to discuss and find measures to increase the quality of auditing and the efficiency of its regulation in the course of a professional dialogue between representatives of the auditing community and regulators’, Valery Goreglyad, Chief Auditor of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, emphasised.
Participants in the first plenary meeting will discuss approaches to auditing regulation. The major issues to be discussed comprise public regulation and self-regulation, international experience of regulators in auditing, as well as imminent changes in regulation of auditing in Russia.
The second part of the conference will include parallel panel discussions, where participants and speakers will be able to discuss in detail internal auditing at credit and non-bank financial institutions, Bank of Russia cooperation with banks’ external auditors, including effective exchange of information between them, and consider problems of auditors’ qualification and reputation.
