Bank of Russia calls for participants in 4th Summer Macroeconomic School
Participants in the one-day intensive training of the 4th Summer Macroeconomic School will gain insight into modern macroeconomic theory and its application in Russia, and into monetary policy transmission, bank regulation and financial stability.
The training will be held in St Petersburg on 6 July 2020.
The Bank of Russia summer school invites master’s students, post-graduates and young professors of economics with sound theoretical knowledge of macroeconomics, financial markets and basics of monetary policy.
The course consists of lectures delivered by Bank of Russia staff and hands-on training. It also allows its participants to attend the 3rd International Economic Research Conference of the Bank of Russia
Participants in the summer school will be selected based on the applications received and on the results of testing. Please send your applications before 19 April 2020. Fifty participants will be selected on a competitive basis. To file your application and take the test refer to the Research section on the Bank of Russia website.
The training is aimed at raising awareness of policy implementation by central banks, in particular the Bank of Russia, in the context of economic theory, and of the Bank of Russia’s policy as regards price and financial stability.
Participants in the summer school are responsible for their travel expenses and accommodation in St Petersburg. The training is free, as is participation in the conference and congress.
Bank of Russia personnel cannot apply.
