Growth of money supply and credit to economy slows in September

27 October 2026
News

Broad money supply (M2X) was growing more slowly in September than in August, mainly due to a decline in corporate deposits. Annual growth in M2X continued to slow down and came in at 11.3%.

As before, the key drivers of money supply growth were credit to the economy and fiscal transactions.

The growth rate of credit to the economy decreased in September month on month, reaching 9.9% in annualised terms.

More details are available in the material Monetary Aggregates and Credit to the Economy.
