Monitoring businesses: slight improvement in business sentiment

The Bank of Russia’s Business Climate Index came in at −2.4 p in August compared to −3.5 p in the previous month. The improvement in the indicator is mainly driven by more favourable output and demand expectations of companies for the next three months.
Business price expectations edged up in August. Compared with July, companies reported more positive assessments of lending conditions.
The current issue features for the first time the results of a survey regarding companies’ capital-raising strategies and their assessment of the accessibility of financial resources.
