Bank of Russia releases Financial Congress business programme
The business programme of the Congress will begin with the plenary session ‘Focusing on long-term growth: how not to pass up opportunities’ with the participation of Bank of Russia Governor Elvira Nabiullina. Owing to tight monetary policy, inflation slowed down to five-year lows, with the key rate consistently decreasing. The participants in the session will discuss whether the economy has returned to balanced and sustained growth and how it may respond to changes in external environment.
During the second plenary session, speakers will exchange views on technology-driven changes in the financial market and the adaptation of its participants to the new reality as well as on the instruments and practices that are emerging and those that may become a thing of the past. The session will be moderated by Bank of Russia First Deputy Governor Vladimir Chistyukhin.
The panel sessions will focus on economic issues, monetary policy, financial stability, the development of banking regulation, FinTech and the financial market, and the global agenda. It is planned to hold 21 panel sessions.
The Financial Congress will take place in St Petersburg on 1–3 July 2026. The full programme is available on the Congress website.
