Bank of Russia and National Bank of Kazakhstan sign swap line agreement

The Bank of Russia and the National Bank of Kazakhstan have signed a RUB/KZT swap line agreement allowing each of the countries to access short-term liquidity in the national currency of the other country, which will help the central banks perform their functions. The swap line totals ₽35 billion, or ₸225 billion. The effective period of the agreement is three years, while transactions thereunder may be concluded for no more than one year at market interest rates.
