Monitoring businesses: slower growth in business activity

In May, the Bank of Russia’s Business Climate Index equalled 1.7 p after 2.1 p in April. Companies’ current demand estimates improved compared to the previous month. However, their three-month-ahead output and demand expectations became more modest.
Business price expectations dropped noticeably month on month, falling on average below the 2024–2025 level.
