Household inflation expectations barely change in May

According to InFOM’s survey, one-year-ahead inflation expectations of households edged up from 12.9% in April to 13.0% in May.
Overall, household inflation expectations stay elevated. There was a rise in the consumer sentiment index, reflecting the respondents’ current assessments and expectations regarding their personal wealth, the economy, and the consumer market situation. Business price expectations were down.
