Entrepreneurs to be entitled to loan repayment holidays from 1 October 2025
Any enterprise that needs a grace period may be granted a payment deferral, no matter whether its revenues have gone down.
The maximum amount of a loan or microloan of a borrower that may apply for loan repayment holidays depends on the size of the business: up to ₽10 million – for self-employed individuals, up to ₽60 million – for micro businesses, up to ₽400 million – for small enterprises, and up to ₽1 billion – for medium-sized ones.
Loan repayment holidays may be granted every five years for a period of six months for each loan if a borrower has several loans.
The law applies to loans and microloans issued starting from 1 March 2024. During the grace period, businesses are exempt from repaying the principal debt, but interest will accrue at the rate specified in the agreement and can be compounded on a monthly basis.
