Bank of Russia publishes new bank ranking for 2025 H1
The regulator will post this information every six months, rather than once a year, as it initially planned.
This initiative was launched by credit institutions. They believe that this will highlight the changes in their work that they promptly make after the regulator's inspections and in response to its feedback. Consumers will be able to receive information about the service quality faster and use it as a guide when choosing a bank.
As a reminder, the ranking includes banks with a retail loan portfolio against which the Bank of Russia received more than one justified complaint from borrowers in 2025 H1. A credit institution’s place in the ranking depends on the number of justified complaints per every 100,000 agreements. Banks are compared both in terms of their status (systemically important and other banks) and in terms of the size of the retail customer base (banks with over five million loan agreements and other banks).
