More people choose to pay for purchases via SBP
By the end of 2025 Q2, the number of companies that had enabled payments via the Faster Payments System (SBP) exceeded 2.5 million. Over the period from April to June, their customers made purchases totalling ₽2.2 trillion through the SBP, which is 1.4 times more year on year.
Overall, according to the Bank of Russia’s data, 4.6 billion transactions worth ₽24.8 trillion were processed through the SBP in 2025 Q2, with nearly a third of them accounted for by payments for goods and services. On average, trade and service companies accept 15 million daily payments via the SBP. Small businesses are still the most active in adopting this system, with a third of them now using it.
Furthermore, the number and amount of payments received by individuals from insurers, brokers, and other legal entities, including cashback, via the SBP were up by a factor of 1.5 and 1.4, respectively.
