In May 2025, monthly price growth (seasonally adjusted) decelerated to 4.5% in annualised terms. Non-food prices were declining for the second consecutive month. The growth rates of prices for main food products as well as personal and medical services remained high.
Annual inflation also continued to decrease in May, but was still considerably above the target. The Bank of Russia is determined to bring inflation back to 4.0% in 2026 and maintain it close to this level further on.
More details are available in the new issue of the Bank of Russia’s information and analytical commentary Consumer Price Dynamics.
