SCO finance ministers and central bank governors meet in Beijing
Beijing hosted a meeting of finance ministers and central bank governors of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states. The Bank of Russia was represented by Gulnara Khaidarshina, Director of Department for Cooperation with International Organisations.
The participants exchanged views on the global, regional, and national economic outlook as well as on fiscal policy promoting economic growth and the transition to a green economy. According to its area of competence, the Bank of Russia participated in the discussion about developing digital financial inclusion and further expanding the use of national currencies of the SCO member states in regional trade and investment.
Next year, the Kyrgyz Republic will chair the SCO Council of Heads of Government.
