Consumer price growth slows in April

News
In April 2025, monthly price growth (seasonally adjusted) continued to decelerate. Non-food prices remained almost unchanged over the month, whereas food and service prices continued to go up, although more slowly.
Annual inflation decreased in Apri, but is still considerably above the target. The Bank of Russia’s monetary policy will remain as restrictive as is needed in order to bring inflation back to 4% in 2026. Further key rate decisions will depend on the pace and sustainability of the decrease in inflation and inflation expectations.
More details are available in the new issue of the Bank of Russia’s information and analytical commentary Consumer Price Dynamics.
