Monitoring businesses: business activity continues to grow
The Bank of Russia’s Business Climate Index came in at 4.8 p in April vs 4.7 p in March, evidencing the ongoing growth of economic activity. Companies’ assessments of current business environment were more moderate than a month ago, while their short-term expectations improved. Companies’ price expectations went down, though remaining elevated.
In the first quarter, business investment activity continued to grow, albeit at a more moderate rate compared with the previous quarter and 2024 on average.
