Monitoring sectoral financial flows: incoming payments continue to grow in January

In January, the amount of incoming payments made via the Bank of Russia continued to grow fast, namely by 8.8% compared to the average of 2024 Q4. This trend was recorded across all groups of industries with investment demand-oriented sectors reporting the most significant increase.
The dynamics of financial flows evidence notable economic growth at the beginning of 2025. In individual sectors, the growth could be partially related to the deferral of payments until the beginning of the year and longer New Year holidays.
