In December, annual inflation accelerates in most regions

Prices for food products, non-food goods, and services rose faster in annualised terms in December than in November.

In the current situation, the high key rate makes savings more attractive and cools down excess demand. Therefore, price growth will decelerate. The Bank of Russia forecasts that annual inflation across Russia in general will return to 4% in 2026.
