Monitoring businesses: business activity continues to grow

In October, growth in economic activity accelerated again after a slowdown over the past four months.
The Bank of Russia’s Business Climate Index rose to 5.5 points from 4.6 points in September. The current output and demand estimates were above the September values. Companies’ positive short-term expectations remained at the levels of the previous two months. Enterprises’ investment activity continued to grow in 2024 Q3 but more slowly as compared with 2024 Q2.
Businesses’ price expectations were rising for the second consecutive month across most industries.
