No standard trust management strategies: Bank of Russia ordinance
Starting from 1 January 2025, trust managers will offer only individual strategies to private investors.
When building portfolios, trust managers should take into account their customers’ financial standing, education, and experience in the securities market as well as information about their current investments and liabilities. This will help assess not only customers’ risk appetite, but also their ability to bear such risks.
Now, standard strategies will become unavailable when a single investment profile is determined for all customers. The previously concluded contracts providing for asset management in accordance with uniform rules will remain in force until they expire.
Those who prefer collective investments will be able to invest money in unit investment funds.
