Monitoring businesses: business activity grows less intensely

In August, the Bank of Russia’s Business Climate Index fell to 7.0 points (vs 7.7 points in July), while still exceeding the 2023 average. This indicates a continuing expansion of economic activity, although at a slower pace than in 2024 H1.
The assessments of the current situation and companies’ short-term expectations regarding output and demand were more moderate than in the previous month.
