No daily limits on free transfers between individual’s accounts with different banks

Banks cannot limit the amount or number of free daily transfers between an individual’s accounts with different banks. Such transfers should not exceed ₽30 million and can be carried out without a fee in accordance with the law. The regulator has sent such clarifications to credit institutions.
The Bank of Russia recommends that banks ensure compliance with the law as soon as possible.
An individual is entitled to transfer a full amount or a part of it between his/her accounts using any available remote banking channels (bank details or the Faster Payments System). Exceptions include transfers made directly at bank offices and transactions using bank cards.
